Level 3 Certificate for Senior Cabin Crew

The Level 3 Certificate for Senior Cabin Crew is for those already working as a cabin crew member who wish to further their career. This qualification will show learners how to lead and manage a team.

What the training covers

Learners must take the following mandatory units:

  • Monitor and maintain security on board aircraft
  • Monitor and maintain health, safety and hygiene on board aircraft
  • Lead cabin crew in responding to abnormal, dangerous or emergency situations
  • Learners must also gain credits from the following optional units:

  • Provide medical care and advice and administer first aid on board aircraft
  • Provide assistance, advice and information to ensure the comfort of airline passengers
  • Ensure effective communication on board an aircraft
  • Recognise airside hazards and minimise risks
  • Provide a trolley service on board an aircraft
  • Serve drinks on board an aircraft
  • Monitor and maintain aircraft cabin systems, equipment and the environment

  • Monitor effective cabin crew performance
  • Implement organisational procedures for handling foreign cash/cash equivalents
