HND in Travel and Tourism

The new HND in Travel and Tourism is designed to equip learners with specific skills and knowledge to enter the sector or progress to another qualification. They are flexible enough to reflect the industry and ensure that candidates are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to be effective in a fast moving environment. The qualification includes air travel, customer care, retail travel, longhaul inclusive tours and independent holidays, surface transportation and cruises, tour operations and languages.
The travel and tourism programmes are suitable for a wide range of learners, such as those leaving school, adult returners or those in employment. Through the programme learners will develop skills in planning and analysis, problem solving, an ability to be flexible and to work co-operatively with others.
